Our menu is limited to a few entrées for good reason. We keep it simple and do it right. We buy only USDA Choice, custom aged beef. Our beef is never frozen and each steak is cut from the whole loin when your order is placed. Unlike most national chain-operated steakhouses, Donanelle's never uses chemical or mechanical tenderizers on your steak.

Ribeye Steak

Our marbled ribeyes are cut to to 8 or 12 or 16 ounces, which makes the thickness vary from one-half inch to over one inch, depending on the whole loin size. The smaller the loin, the thicker the steak. We buy the smallest whole loins we can find in order to serve you the thickest, juiciest steak possible.

The ribeye is dry rubbed with our secret spices and char-broiled to perfection over genuine hickory charcoal and pecan wood ... served with salad, choice of potato and N'Orleans French bread.

New York Strip Steak

For those who prefer a firmer, leaner steak, this 10 ounce cut is sure to please. A salad, choice of potato, and N'Orleans French bread are served with this choice steak.

Filet Mignon

This juicy 8 ounce cut of super-tender beef will melt in your mouth. Thickness runs from one to two inches, depending on the tenderloin size. The filet is bacon wrapped upon request. Seasoned and char-broiled over an open flame, this filet is served with a salad, choice of potato, and N'Orleans French bread.

The Ribeye Sandwich

You might call this Donanelle's answer to the hamburger. The difference is that we use a quarter pound of char-broiled choice ribeye steak instead of ground beef. A favorite since day one, this sandwich is served on Gambino bread with lettuce, tomato, and onion ... plus a choice of potato.

And a final note about our savory aged beef.

Your steak will be seasoned with our secret blend of spices and char-broiled to perfection over a genuine hickory/pecan wood fire in our old brick pit grille. The steak's cutting and grilling can be seen from the dining area. Our Chef will grill your steak exactly the way your want it prepared. However, we cannot guarantee flavor and tenderness for steaks ordered "well done." We don't have steak sauce (you won't need any) and we don't split plates.

Tender Loinback Ribs

Our famous dry-rubbed ribs are slow smoked daily over pecan wood in an old fashioned, homemade smoker. Served with slaw, baked beans, Gambino garlic bread, and garnished with jalapeno peppers with sweet onion. Sauce is served on the side. Order by half slab or whole slab. As Smoker-Meister Don says, "You might beat this price but you can't beat my meat."

Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna

We buy the best quality "sushi-grade" Yellow Fin Tuna for this thick, 8 ounce cut of aquatic heaven. It is char-broiled with lemon, butter, and bay leaves then served with salad, choice of potato, and Gambino garlic bread. We recommend that you order Yellow Fin with a warm, pink center for peak flavor and juiciness.

Catfish Sandwich

What kind of south Mississippi food joint would be without a "crispy-fried" Catfish filet between two pieces of bread? N'Orleans French bread, that is ... and heaped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cocktail sauce.

Fresh Gulf of Mexico Seafood

Occasionally, we serve fresh boiled, broiled, or sauteed Large Gulf Shrimp. This treat is reserved for periods when shrimp are in peak season and prices are reasonable.
